Thematic Working Groups
Focus on thematic priorities
Improving the implementation of EU rural development policy is the core of the ENRD’s mission. One of the ways that this is done is through Thematic Working Groups (TWGs). In common with other ENRD analytical work, the TWGs are designed to:
- increase understanding of how the policy works in practice;
- assess what works well and what can be improved, and;
- provide insights to inform decision making in Member States and at the European level.
TWGs are part of the formal structure of the ENRD. In the first 4 Years of the operation of the ENRD four TWGs were set up and all have now completed their work.
The themes which the Thematic Working Groups were focused on were identified and agreed within the Coordination committee.
