Bioeconomy and climate action: 1st TG meeting

This is the highlights report of the first meeting of the ENRD Thematic Group ‘Bioeconomy and climate action in rural areas’.

The meeting launched the work of this ENRD TG, which aims to promote climate action within the rural bioeconomy. Participants discussed the areas within the rural bioeconomy that have most potential to produce climate outcomes, such GHG emission reduction, carbon sequestration/conservation, and replacing fossil-based materials.
