The COVID-19 Community Outreach (CCO) initiative is a national response to the societal impact of the coronavirus outbreak, coordinated by The Wheel and Irish Rural Link, and funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
A network of Community Champions located in every Irish county is at the heart of COVID-19 Community Outreach. The Community Champions are people from rural communities who have strong local connections and in-depth knowledge of available resources and supports, and volunteer to serve and inform local citizens and community organisations through this difficult time.
