NSU operation

The Danish Rural Network adopted the four mandatory objectives
To increase the involvement of stakeholders in the implementation of rural development;
To improve the quality of implementation of rural development programmes and ensure the best possible use of the funds;
To inform the public and potential beneficiaries on rural development policy and funding opportunities;
To foster innovation.

The Danish NRN is open to all relevant organisations and administrations that are involved in rural development. This includes ministries, municipalities, regions, nature- and environment organisations, organisations that work with rural development.

The NSU and the Managing Authority
The NSU is established within the Managing Authority and the Paying Agency with some activities outsourced to another ministerial agency.
The NSU and the Monitoring Committee
The Danish AgriFish Agency is acting as secretariat for both the Monitoring Committee and the Danish Rural Development Network.

STEERING GROUP
A steering group with members from the ministries responsible for the implementation of the RDP is established to coordinate stakeholders and members and enforce the communication, activities and objectives of NRN.
The steering group will meet at least once a year. In addition at least one thematic meeting is held yearly.
