NRN Relevant Experience Pilot Initiative

The NRN Relevant Experience initiative launched in January 2010, aims to pilot a Project Information and Knowledge Sharing Exchange (PIKSE) in partnership with a number of National Rural Networks (NRNs).The initiative is intended to collect, collate and disseminate a selected number of relevant examples of projects aiming to contribute to the overall ENRD dissemination of relevant and useful RD practices/ideas and to raise awareness of the use of EAFRD/EAGGF funds to a broader public.Lessons learnt during the piloting period maybe used to inform and guide design of a broader system to support the ENRD in all Member States.

Overall management and coordination of the pilot initiative is undertaken by the ENRD Contact Point (CP) following the guidance and recommendations of an NRNCoordination Team. Case studies will be collected and collated in two initial thematic areas initially (Renewable energy and Investment in agro-processing) and the results made avaialble to all NRNs.

Further information on the activities and outcomes from this initiative will be made available as the work proceeds.
