‘Salon international de l’Agriculture’ is one of the major annual European agricultural fairs: its reputation with important national stakeholders (Ministries, trade unions, journalists) and the high number of visitors (680 000 in 2012) provided important opportunities to DG AGRI and the ENRD to deliver their message and promote their activities.Numerous exhibitors from all over the world came to Paris to show their products and services related with agriculture and rural development. Among others, the fair was attended by high-level officials dealing with Common Agricultural Policy, including the EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dacian Ciolos). The ENRD was present on DG AGRI stand at the exhibition to showcase a selection of best practice EAFRD funded projects from different regions in France, Spain, Luxembourg and Romania. Several LAGs responded to our invitation to present their projects on DG AGRI stand. See below some reactions from the participants:

By participating in this fair, ENRD strengthened the cooperation with the National Rural Networks in the Member States and continued the collection of relevant project examples. At the same time, this event inspired us for planning the upcoming fairs in Roskilde, Denmark (8-10th June) and Edinburgh, United Kingdom (21-24th June).
