This video illustrates how a “Web3D Knowledge Hot Spot” can provide food SMEs with access and guidance to R&D results and information about new products and processes in an easily digestible format. It’s all done at the click of a mouse in what is called “the agri’-food supermarket” – a virtual supermarket about new products and developments in food.

The Welfare Quality Story – Introduction (Animal Farm Life)
This video provides background information on the Welfare Quality project, the goals and methodology and the results emerging from the collaboration of 44 institutes and universities who participated (representing 13 European countries and four Latin American countries) with specialist expertise. The research program was designed to develop European standards for on-farm welfare assessment and product information systems as well as practical strategies for improving animal welfare. The standards for on-farm welfare assessment and information systems are based upon consumer demands, the marketing requirements of retailers and stringent scientific validation.

Time to think about GMO again (EuropaBio)
Why it is time to think again about GMO in Europe? As a step towards greater public engagement, EuropaBio has produced a new brochure entitled 'Science not fiction: Time to think again about GM' that provides an overview of the debate in Europe to date. It provides insights into the acceptance challenges of the past, the process of re-establishing 'fact over fear', and the role of scientists, policymakers, the food chain, media and other stakeholders over the last 20 years.
