    This video shows how a LAG in Sweden is promoting approaches to developing short supply food chains for the benefit of local producers, consumers and rural dwellers.

    The main aim of the video is to promote and encourage producers to develop local food supplies to cater for the growing desire of consumers to "buy local" for better quality and sustainability of rural life.

    tools used

    Producers have been offered training courses in growing and producing vegetables together with seminars discussing local slaughter houses and small scale meat factories and other kinds of infrastructure for food processing. A producer network has been established for joint advertising. Long term cooperation with the regional agricultural school has also been established.
