    Summary

    The Bulgarian NRN has developed a new dynamic website, offering its members & visitors a wide range of information about rural development. Besides the general News section, many News-type sections were also created, such as the RDP website, News from LAGs, Initiatives of NRN Members and Interesting & Useful. The Events Calendar includes events of the Bulgarian NRN, LAGs & other stakeholders. The website is bilingual in all non-dynamic sections. The online ‘Register of Members’ includes all members, who have agreed to be listed there & advanced searches can be made on the basis of the following categories: organization type, district, municipality & interest to RDP axis. There are two LAG-devoted sections: Cooperation & LAGs providing full bilingual profiles of all 35 Bulgarian LAGs with approved LDS. The Cooperation section is targeted at Bulgarian & foreign LAGs & organizations looking for partners under cooperation measures. The sections Good Practices & Others are updated regulary.

    The website targets a wide range of rural development stakeholders and the broader public. Its purpose is to provide them with relevant and up-to-date information about rural development in Bulgaria and in the European Union, such as information about NRNs, thematic working groups, RDP Information and LEADER approach. The website provides also the opportunity to visitors to register to the Network Support Unit’s mailing list & for poll voting on specific matters. There are also links to the ENRD website and all other NRNs websites. An interactive LAGs map will be soon included.

    During 2013, the website reached a total of 17715 visits & 63389 pageviews made by 10625 unique visitors. The graph of the daily & monthly visits indicates a trend for a higher number of visits during the weekdays & a decrease during the weekends & holiday. The highest peaks of number of visits per day are related to NRN activities (meetings, thematic working groups). The record for number of visits per day was made in July 22, 2013 with 256 visits.
