The campaign was planned and launched by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in Denmark in order to raise public awareness on the new law on buffer zones. Buffer zones are (private) new natural areas, up to 10 meters wide, along rivers and around lakes. People can have access to these areas under certain conditions, according to the Nature Protection Act, such as: farmers cannot cultivate these areas and they have to provide an healthy aquatic environment with less nitrites and fewer pesticides; the visitors have to check the area's accessibility, as the land must be uncultivated; visitors have have the responsability to protect the natural environment; fishing is only allowed with the farmer’s permission and with a valid license, etc. Communication materials developed for the campaign include a dedicated website, pratical information sheets and short videos.
