    Identity is important when communicatin rural development as it helps express the leading values of an institution/organisation or programme. Visual identity represents the visible elements of a brand and reinforce its presence in a busy communication environment. Polish Rural Network elaborated a set of guidelines for the Polish Rural Development Programme 2007-2013 in the form of a ‘Book’, a strong and consistent communication tool part of its communication strategy. The visual identity book sets out and clearly describes the rules for using visual materials related to the Programme: its logo(s), page layouts, website homepages, envelopes, folders, publications, certificates, banners, billboards, posters, etc.

    Visual identity book was conceived as a 30 pages brochure, presenting all visual identity elements that stakeholders could use, with dimensions and standard colors, and with clear examples of ‘no go’ for main elements like logo, and examples of correct designs for all materials, including a large variety of possible promotional materials (cups, pens, business cards, paper bag, T-shirts, backpacks, balloons, cell phone straps).
