Highlights report from the ENRD webinar held on 02 October 2020 discussing the designing of intervention strategies for the future CAP Strategic Plans from the perspective of the legal proposals and on the basis of the concrete experience of Member States. This focused particularly on Specific Objectives 1 -'Fair farm income', 4 -'Climate change action', and 8 -'Vibrant rural areas'.

This is the highlights report of the LEADER Thematic Lab on ‘Developing local strategic approaches to address green issues’, held on 26 November 2020.

Participants exchanged their views and practical experiences related to the potential contribution of LEADER and Local Action Groups (LAGs) to ‘greening’ and EGD objectives locally. They also discussed key factors in local strategic approaches, including resources, capacities, setting local objectives resources and networking methods.

This is the highlights report of the 1st meeting of the ENRD Thematic Group on European Green Deal and Rural Areas. The meeting steered the TG’s future work towards thinking how rural areas can best benefit from the shift to fully sustainable agricultural and forestry practices.

This includes how to reduce nutrient leakages and identifying the role of rural areas in delivering the Clean Energy Package, as well as how to help EU Member States (MS) design CAP Strategic Plans (CSP) that effectively deliver on these EGD targets.
