Diese Ausgabe hebt nicht nur die Relevanz der EU-Politik zur Entwicklung des ländlichen Raums für die Bewältigung allgemeiner gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen hervor, sondern zeigt auch praktische Möglichkeiten auf, solchen Herausforderungen zu begegnen und dabei vor Ort größtmögliche positive Effekte zu erzielen. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Lösungsansätze zum Angehen des eingeschränkten Breitband-Internetzugangs im ländlichen Raum, des globalen Klimawandels und der derzeitigen Flüchtlingskrise. Darüber hinaus werden die besonderen Möglichkeiten beleuchtet, die neue und weiterentwickelte EU-Politikinstrumente (Multifonds-CLLD Ansatz, Europäischer Fonds für strategische Investitionen und ELER-Kooperationsmaßnahme) bieten.
