Die Ausgabe Nr. 25 des EU-Magazins Ländlicher Raum widmet sich der Herausforderung des effizienten Umgangs mit Ressourcen sowie der Frage, was das Konzept „mit weniger mehr erreichen“ für die Entwicklung des ländlichen Raums bedeutet. Am Beispiel der Wasser- und Bodenbewirtschaftung wird beschrieben, wie ländliche Gebiete ressourceneffizienter werden können. 

Behandelt werden ressourcenschonende Arbeitsweisen im ländlichen Raum und wie die EU-Politik zur Entwicklung des ländlichen Raums im Sinne einer optimierten Bewirtschaftung der natürlichen Ressourcen bestmöglich umgesetzt werden kann. Darüber hinaus wird das EU-Programm LIFE vorgestellt, dessen Pilotprojekte viele anregende Beispiele für nachhaltige Arbeitsweisen geben, die sowohl in der Landwirtschaft wie auch in anderen Branchen im ländlichen Raum angewendet werden können. 

Grundlage von Ausgabe 25 des EU-Magazins Ländlicher Raum ist die Arbeit des ENRD am übergeordneten Thema „Ressourceneffiziente Wirtschaft im ländlichen Raum“.
