Brown Coal Mining Thematic Village
LEADER funding helped the economic development of a small Polish rural village building on the local community’s rich history.
In this project, a group of local actors began to establish and develop a thematic village based on its industrial past, shaped by the presence of underground brown coal mines. Projects activities included a range of investments such as the establishment of an underground eco-museum, reconstructing drift mine elements, developing a nature trail and setting up a pottery house.
