The Local Action Group (LAG) Kostenets 2010 in Bulgaria has designed its development strategy with a strong focus on local needs. The use of the multi-fund approach allows them to meet specific local needs effectively.
In order to contribute more effectively to combating climate change, a Romanian LAG included energy adaptation and mitigation projects in its local development strategy. This case study looks at the role of LEADER in promoting renewable energies and energy efficiency.
