A cooperation project was set up between 4 LAGs and 1 FLAG to promote local heritage and stimulate the local economy around a lake area.

A family farm used LEADER support to build a new greenhouse that would provide optimum conditions for growing traditional varieties of Estonian roses.

A small family factory used RDP support to equip its new store, which sells its high-quality meat products.

A small rural business used RDP support to purchase new stone-cutting equipment in order to expand its range of products.

Estonian tourism operators used EAFRD funding to install road signs to promote the local Seto culture and help visitors find interesting landmarks.

A local producer of syrups and vinegars in Estonia used EAFRD funding to scale up production to create a business that sells to restaurants, shops and big suppliers.

Natural potential of rural areas often remains unexploited. In Estonia the construction of a water themed park generated interest in the countryside and attracted visitors through promoting eco-tourism and environmental education.

The “Living on the Edge” route comprises of 21 different sites presenting the nature, culture and history of South-Estonia using the yellow frame, the iconic symbol of “National Geographic”.

The Onion Route is a network of tourism service providers and a unique cultural space in the Eastern part of Estonia.
