Supporting the preparatory work for the creation of a 41 km green lane linking up bends the Meuse river between the municipalities of Yvoir and Huy in Wallonia.
An ecovillage was developed on Sweden’s Gotland island using EAFRD funding, providing a model for environmentally-friendly accommodation, waste water treatment, food and energy production. The site is also a template for non-consumerist approaches.
A small commune in Romania used EAFRD support to restore and promote its local landmark: a botanical garden, and design a training programme on environmental aspects for young farmers.
