This EURACTIV Virtual Conference discusses how innovative animal nutrition strategies and solutions can be more effectively deployed at the farm level to improve animal health and welfare. How can the EU stimulate and support innovation in animal nutrition to successfully address societal demands for sustainable animal products and animal welfare?
EU Horizon 2020 research project ‘Resituating the local in cohesion and territorial development’ – RELOCAL aims to identify factors that condition local accessibility of European policies, local abilities to articulate needs and equality claims and local capacities for exploiting European opportunity structures. This third webinar will target top-down vs bottom-up approaches in promoting place-based and participative action.
The meeting will explore tested experiences of promoting the green transition at the local or sub-regional level, including EAFRD-funded projects as well as other territorial initiatives. The participants will discuss the factors that have led to the successful engagement and uptake of sustainable practices and reflect on the lessons that can be learnt from these experiences for the design and implementation of the CAP Strategic Plans.
This seminar organised by the OECD, will inform about the framework for the chapter on the synthesis report on the forward-looking policy agenda. The chapter aims to support policy makers looking to anticipate the future of rural areas by creating the framework conditions and institutional environment for dynamic rural economies.
