Taking place within the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 2 InfoWeek, the event will present existing policy initiatives showing how these can bring opportunities for agriculture, food value chains and society at large. The event will connect digital policy with the investment opportunities under the Horizon 2020 Work programme 2018-2020.
The event, organised by the Walloon Rural Development Network, will gather local stakeholders to share their activities and projects, exchanging ideas and good practices through interactive workshops, debates and mini-conferences.
The event will reflect on how to bring various innovative ways of fostering inclusion into a mature process capable of inducing structural change. It will focus primarily on labour market inclusion.
The event will overview upcoming Horizon 2020 calls for proposals under Societal Challenge 2 ‘Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy’. It will also feature events showcasing projects and initiatives on digitisation and the bioeconomy.
This annual event and its related Call for Organic Innovations are targeted at farmers, researchers and companies developing innovative solutions to: improving soil quality in organic arable farming; appropriate and robust livestock systems; and innovation for sustainable diets.
