The 27th edition of the European Society for Rural Sociology Congress (ESRS) will explore processes of rural change from three different perspectives: diversity, knowledge and justice.
The forum provides a platform for young people from rural areas to discuss issues that are relevant for their countries and regions. This year’s discussions will focus on the topic of ‘sustainability’.
The event will discuss the evolution of LEADER over the past 25 years and the important role of Local Action Groups (LAGs) in supporting the development of European rural areas. It will also feature a discussion on the future of LEADER in the next programming period.
The event will gather academics, practitioners and policy-makers to discuss the latest and most pressing issues around the agriculture and food industry from a local to an international perspective, with a special focus on novel and emerging concerns for society.
