The event will bring together government representatives, producers, traders, analysts and certifiers to explore trends and perspectives in labelling and packaging, secure supply and value-added chains, as well as international regulations and cooperation.
The event will discuss key challenges and opportunities from and in rural areas as well as looking ahead to sustainable approaches to the integration, retention and participation of new immigrants.
The 13th NRNs’ meeting will discuss ways of reinforcing stakeholder engagement and enhancing collaboration among network members, including on the topics of post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), Smart Villages and Generational Renewal.
Building on the past work carried out by the ENRD CP on supporting generational renewal to foster vibrant rural areas and in response to stakeholders’ demand, this workshop will further look into how to make rural areas more attractive for young farmers and new entrants and how young entrepreneurs can contribute to rural prosperity through their work.
The workshop will present the results of the Pilot Project on Smart Eco-Social Villages. It will further discuss the future of smart villages, notably the success factors that can positively influence the development of rural areas.
