Following the success of the first Rural Inspiration Awards in 2019, a new competition is taking place in 2020.
The #RIAwards2020 theme reflects the EU's new Green Deal strategic priorities. The focus is on good practice projects co-financed by the EAFRD that promote rural climate action or the bioeconomy.
Entries to #RIAwards2020 must be submitted by the National Rural Networks of EU Member States.
Entries are open until 1 March for projects in three #RIAwards2020 thematic categories:
- Climate change mitigation
- Climate change adaptation
In addition to a winner in each category, a Popular Vote award will be granted following an on-line public voting in the spring 2020. The Award ceremony will be held at the ENRD Bioeconomy and Climate Action Seminar in June 2020.
