Europe saw its warmest year, winter and autumn on record. Wet and dry conditions varied substantially across the region and the year.
The European State of the Climate 2020 was compiled by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) on behalf of the European Commission.
