The European food price indicator (Foodeuro) is a new market intelligence tool that provides better and more timely information on price distribution of certain products in the food sector.
The tool is promoted by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) under delegation by the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.
The project will increase public awareness about the distribution of added value and other components across the food supply chains. This will improve the ability of SMEs in this market segment to compare average costs and margins of other operators across various EU countries.
