Sini-Maria Tiainen dreamt of her own village shop for decades, and finally she bought one in 2019 in Sumiainen, Central Finland, thanks to EAFRD funding via the LAG Leader Viisari.
The village shop Voikukka provides all basic food and often local food from local producers. The shop also serves as a post office as there is a postal parcel machine in the shop. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the shop also offered home deliveries. Mrs. Tiainen plans to offer soon accommodation for tourists.
