The conference will address the agronomic fundamentals of a living soil, agroecological practices across sectors, in France and abroad.
The event will discuss key challenges and opportunities from and in rural areas as well as looking ahead to sustainable approaches to the integration, retention and participation of new immigrants.
The 13th NRNs’ meeting will discuss ways of reinforcing stakeholder engagement and enhancing collaboration among network members, including on the topics of post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), Smart Villages and Generational Renewal.
The workshop will present the results of the Pilot Project on Smart Eco-Social Villages. It will further discuss the future of smart villages, notably the success factors that can positively influence the development of rural areas.
Building on the past work carried out by the ENRD CP on supporting generational renewal to foster vibrant rural areas and in response to stakeholders’ demand, this workshop will further look into how to make rural areas more attractive for young farmers and new entrants and how young entrepreneurs can contribute to rural prosperity through their work.
Under the theme “Women, men and their expertise”, this year’s edition of the International Agricultural Show will seek to promote those women and men that build and maintain the ecosystem, produce natural raw materials and transmit values.
The exhibition will feature projects and initiatives related to Smart Villages such as digitisation, mobility and job creation among others. The event is hosted by MEP Tibor Szanyi within the European Parliament.
The high-level forum will discuss the security of agri-food supply chains post-Brexit, looking specifically at the impact and future outcomes.
