The 1st Thematic Group (TG) meeting will present the purpose and objectives of the group, building on the previous thematic work on ‘Resource Efficiency’. It will discuss the challenges and opportunities for supporting sustainable management of water and soils through Rural Development Programmes, and help refine the specific sub-topics to be explored. The meeting will also enable TG members to discuss and finalise the workplan for the TG.
The first Thematic Group (TG) meeting will provide an overview of information collected so far on integrated strategic approaches for supporting innovation in rural services, emerging projects and the role of Rural Development policy in supporting them – with a particular focus on RDP measures for basic services and LEADER/CLLD.
