This two-day workshop will discuss the implementation of the Italian National Action Plan for sustainable use of plant protection products, as well as opportunities for support for organic farming beyond RDP Measure 11, including marketing and communication strategies.
The international conference will gather a wide range of stakeholders whose knowledge and experience will help formulate policy recommendations for new pathways towards sustainable agricultural and food systems.
The fair aims to promote the latest innovative technologies and services in agriculture and rural development. It further provides a cooperation platform for rural stakeholders to identify and implement innovative projects in rural areas.
The Horizon 2020 project will end with a final conference where best practices and testimony from participating countries will be presented. A roundtable discussion will take place on knowledge exchange and innovation support in the organic farming sector.
The event will explore trends in rural areas and best practice in Rural Development Programmes (RDPs). It will consider a range of topics including demographic change, economic growth and sustainability, access to services, poverty and social inclusion, getting the rural voice heard.
This workshop is organised back-to-back with the 9th NRNs' meeting (to be held on 15 November 2017) and is primarily targeted at Network Support Units (NSUs) and selected NRN members (LAGs, NGOs, stakeholder organisations).
