The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) is an international conference on central issues of vital importance for global agricultural and food policies. The five-day forum features a large number of events that provide 3,000 participants from the worlds of politics, industry, science, and civil society with an opportunity to address and reach consensus on issues and challenges relating to global agricultural policy and food security.
The NUI Galway Rural Studies Centre Seminar Series 2022 provides a platform for Irish academics and key rural stakeholders to present their research or rural projects; network with others engaged in a similar space, both within and beyond academia and to initiate discussions around key rural issues.

Implementing the rural vision' will focus on the work undertaken by the SHERPA Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs) during 2021, on three relevant topics for the implementation of the rural vision: alternative rural futures (foresight exercise), change in production and diversification of the rural economy, and climate change and environmental sustainability
The event is organised by the European Commission. The conference will bring together decision makers and experts from different backgrounds to share their experiences in view of the upcoming EU regulatory initiative on the certification of carbon removals. It will be web streamed.
In relation to the publication of the 2022 Calls for proposals for grants for information provision and promotion measures concerning agricultural products, DG Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) and the European Research Executive Agency (REA) are organising the annual Info Day online.
