This ENRD event will build on the ten years of rural networking in Europe by recognising its value, demonstrating its results and proactively looking at the future.
The event ‘networX – Inspiring Rural Europe’ hosted the ceremony of the Rural Inspiration Awards, recognising inspiring initiatives funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) that demonstrate the contribution of Rural Development Policy towards a more competitive, sustainable and inclusive rural Europe.
The ENRD Evaluation Helpdesk is pleased to invite you to the Good Practice Workshop ‘Getting prepared for the ex ante evaluation of the CAP strategic plan’. This workshop will take place in Brussels on 21 March 2019 from 9:30 to 16:30.
The seventh meeting of the Thematic Group (TG) focused on how to design effective packages of support for Smart Villages in the future CAP Plans as well as how to build synergy with other funds and policies.
Building on the past work carried out by the ENRD CP on supporting generational renewal to foster vibrant rural areas and in response to stakeholders’ demand, this workshop looked further into how to make rural areas more attractive for young farmers and new entrants and how young entrepreneurs can contribute to rural prosperity through their work.
The 13th NRNs’ meeting explored ways of reinforcing stakeholder engagement and enhancing collaboration among network members, including on the topics of post-2020 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), Smart Villages and Generational Renewal.
The videoconference was organised as an opportunity to engage the Thematic Group members beyond the live meetings and in order to allow for a specific discussion on the sustainability aspects of the bioeconomy.
The sixth meeting of the European Rural Networks’ Assembly Sub-group on LEADER/CLLD updated on discussions around the post-2020 CAP legislative proposals; discussed implementation and possibilities for improvement; and exchanged on LAG self-assessment and communication of successful LEADER/CLLD practice.
The workshop focused on the state of implementation of the current biodiversity-related measures in RDPs and on the coordination with other policy instruments. It provided an opportunity to share good practice examples, exchange on bottlenecks and lessons learned, and discuss the future of biodiversity conservation in the 2021-2027 CAP Strategic Plans.
