The Rural Pact conference brought together EU, national, and regional policy makers along with local authorities, social and economic stakeholders in a participatory event that reflected the rural vision’s ambition and bottom-up character.
The second meeting of the ENRD Thematic Group on Carbon Farming built on the TG activities so far. It looked at how initiatives monitor and measure carbon sequestration and discussed the conditions that need to be put in place to enable the upscaling of carbon farming across the EU.
This was the second meeting of the Thematic Group (TG) on Sustainability Agreements, which was organised with the ambition to facilitate discussion and exchanges between the TG members and provide the space for exchanges on good practices around collective actions on sustainability agreements and sustainable actions more generally.
The CAP Evaluation Helpdesk is organising the Good Practice Workshop, ‘How to assess Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) based on lessons learned from 2014-2022’. The workshop will be conducted online over two half days from 30-31 May 2022.

The second meeting of the ENRD TG on Rural Proofing built on the previous TG discussion and aimed to further develop the focus on the practical implementation of rural proofing mechanisms within different administrative levels (national, regional and local), including the links to the Territorial Impact Assessments (TIA).
The seventeenth meeting of the European Rural Networks’ Steering Group (SG) enabled participants to exchange on the state of play of the CAP Reform and other EU policy initiatives and the preparation of the Rural Pact, including stakeholder feedback and the upcoming EU Conference.

The second meeting of the TG on Rural Revitalisation allowed TG members to continue the discussion started with the first TG meeting, build recommendations to help shape the future rural revitalisation platform, and explore the potential contribution of the Thematic Group and its members to the Rural Pact Conference on 15-16 June 2022.
