This workshop provided an overview of the implementation of current EAFRD measures contributing to improving competitiveness and efficiency of farm holdings and it will explore other types of interventions and factors, beyond investments, contributing to the creation of an enabling environment for increasing farm competitiveness.
The event also provided participants with an occasion to exchange experiences and views on bottlenecks encountered and good practices implemented at Member State level and to discuss how to design an effective strategy and targeted interventions to deliver farm competitiveness in the future CAP Strategic Plans.
The workshop was primarily addressed to representatives of Member States and regions, Managing Authorities of Rural Development Programmes and Paying Agencies. It featured a mixture of presentations, discussions and group work.
