This workshop was part of the activities carried out under the ENRD thematic work on Generational Renewal and Social Inclusion.
Building on the past work carried out by the ENRD CP on supporting generational renewal to foster vibrant rural areas and in response to stakeholders’ demand, this workshop looked further into how to make rural areas more attractive for young farmers and new entrants and how young entrepreneurs can contribute to rural prosperity through their work.
The ENRD CP analytical work on Generational Renewal was presented during the workshop and successful examples of youth entrepreneurship were showcased from Italy, France, Germany and Ireland. Additionally, participants had the chance to get a look at the future of the Common Agricultural Policy with focus on Generational Renewal.
