The ENRD Contact Point held a training on Simplified Cost Options (SCOs) for EAFRD Managing Authorities in Brussels on 26 February 2015. The training aimed at improving the capacity of national and regional authorities to implement simplification measures in order to lower the administrative burden to beneficiaries and reduce the occurrence of irregularities in the management of 2014-2020 Rural Development Programmes (RDPs).
The programme of the training included an introduction to the concept and practice of SCOs, supported by relevant examples from EU Member States. Participants also engaged in a simulation exercise on the practical use of SCOs under RDP measures.
