ENRD LEADER Thematic Lab: Youth and depopulation

This Thematic Lab explored the role of LEADER and LEADER Local Action Groups (LAGs) in providing effective responses to the challenges related to youth and depopulation in local rural territories in the EU in the current and future programming periods.

Key messages included the importance of involving youth in LAGs' activities (including Local Development Strategis) and the need for trust between LAGs and authorities at all levels.

This was the third of a series of LEADER Thematic Labs, after the ones on Smart Villages and on Climate change mitigation and adaptation.
