The aim of this virtual meeting is to cover recent actions in the consultation process on the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas, reflecting on NRN activities during Rural Vision Week, and NRN role in supporting communication and stakeholder involvement around the Vision. The meeting will provide the opportunity to reflect on specific activities from preceding NRN meetings and workshops that can add value to future networking.

The 19th NRN meeting was organised by the ENRD Contact Point jointly with the Luxembourg Rural Network. The main objectives of the meeting were to discuss the role of NRNs in supporting and promoting TNC, to provide space to exchange on forthcoming rural networking activities and to consider how NRNs have so far contributed to the development of the LTVRA.

The ENRD Contact Point and the rural networks of Flanders and Wallonia co-organised the 18th NRN Meeting, which explored how NRNs have responded to the challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and specific lessons learned in adapting methodologies.

This portal on the ENRD website provides information to support stakeholders' preparations for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) post-2020 programming period.

The ENRD Thematic Group on the Long Term Rural Vision, #rural2040, will consist of a small but dedicated cross-section of informed and engaged stakeholders from different parts of Europe.

The 17th NRN meeting took the form of a webinar and focused on the topics of network governance and the image of rural areas. 

This 'How to' section provides guidance on how National Rural Networks (NRNs) can plan and implement their activities in cooperation with the ENRD.
