This one-day workshop aimed to establish a stronger understanding of employment opportunities in rural areas and related support mechanisms, taking into account the wider rural perspective and different aspects of rural employment. It showcased inspiring initiatives and projects and enabled participants to share their experience and ideas.
The Good Practice Workshop, ‘How to demonstrate RDP achievements and impacts: lessons learned from the evaluations reported in the AIR 2019’ took place on 11-12 December 2019 in Seville, Spain.

This first meeting discussed the areas within the rural bioeconomy that have most potential to produce climate outcomes, such as reductions in GHG emissions, carbon sequestration or conservation, and replacing fossil based materials.
The workshop provided an overview of how environmental objectives can be addressed through the future CAP Strategic Plans. It gathered Member States, NGOs, farmers' associations and EU institutions representatives that discussed lessons learnt from current programming period and shared ideas on designing effective interventions to deliver environmental objectives in the CAP Strategic Plans.
