A number of towns in this region has declined population and services and we see the importance of revitalising rural towns with specific emphasis on buildings available to the community for diverse use.
The community has secured an iconic cinema and theatre building first opened in 1944 and the last performances were in the 1960's. The cinema is a unique local asset with a rich local history and is available for development. The building offers potential for economic growth and social development and will we wish to look at sustainability to ensure continuity for future generations.
