Context: 

This project concerns the qualitative upgrading, enhancement, promotion and networking of partner regions with characteristic trains (cog-wheel railway trains, touristic trains, trains with special technical characteristics, etc) and buildings associated with them (special feature buildings such as: stations, machinery spaces, etc), as well as the actual trains - enhancement of train stations - unique buildings (eg: machinery spaces). The aim of cooperation is to implement actions in order to upgrade the cooperating areas, the exchange of know - networking around the "railway tourism", the interconnection of the rural sector to tourism, environment and culture – history etc.

Objectives: 

1. Enhancement, promotion and quality improvement of partner’s regions through characteristic trains and rail routes highlighted as typical - scenic routes of considerable importance, 2. Upgrade and increase of tourism - tourist visits in partner regions through coordinated promotion of the railways – characteristic routes - trains and buildings with sites of archaeological, religious, historical, cultural and environmental significance 3. Developing and strengthening of local economy - strengthening the existing tourist infrastructure, through the creation and promotion of targeted tourist packages, to extend tourist season, 4. Networking in partner regions
