This study creates a methodological framework and system of quantitative evaluation of medium-term and long-term impact within the RDP 2014-2020 for the following forestry measures: M08 - Investments in the development of forest areas and improvement of forest viability (sub-measures 8.3 and 8.4); M12 - Natura 2000 payments and under the Water Framework Directive (sub-measure 12.2); M15 - Forest-environmental and climate services and forest protection (sub-measure 15.1).

This report was commissioned by the Scottish Government for Winning Moves to conduct a piece of research to explore the quality, focus and effectiveness of the Farm Advisory Service (FAS).

The report explores applicants’ and experts’ experiences of applications and assessment procedures, and how the applicants' projects adhered to the objectives of the scheme and those of the Scottish Government.

Tool 3.1 – Examples of guiding questions for the appraisal of the intervention strategy, targets and milestones: provides suggestions of what questions evaluators may wish to explore while appraising the intervention strategy, targets and milestones of the CAP Strategic Plan. 

This factsheet focuses on the evaluation of water abstraction conducted in the region of Thessaly. This assessment was completed in roughly one month and the results were used to report on this indicator in the AIR 2019 together with the results from a larger macro level assessment.
