NIVA

New IACS Vision in Action (NIVA)

  • Lead organisation: Research Institutes of Wageningen University & Research
  • Description: NIVA aims to modernise IACS by making efficient use of digital solutions and e-tools, by creating reliable methodologies and harmonised data sets for monitoring agricultural performance while reducing administrative burden for farmers, paying agencies and other stakeholders.

FLINT

Farm Level Indicators for New Topics in policy evaluation (FLINT)

  • Lead organisation: LEI-WUR: DLO Foundation
  • Description: FLINT has developed a data-infrastructure useful for the agro-food sector and policy makers to provide up to date information on farm level indicators on sustainability and other relevant new issues.

ATLAS

Agricultural Interoperability and Analysis System (ATLAS)

  • Lead organisation: Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems
  • Description: The ATLAS project will address the lack of data interoperability in agriculture by combining the use of agricultural equipment with sensor systems and data analysis.

SPARD

Spatial Analysis of Rural Development Measures (SPARD)

  • Lead organisation: Leibniz-Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research
  • Description: The aim of the SPARD project is to develop a modelling tool that will help policy-makers to understand the causal relationships between rural development measures and their results in a spatial dimension.

RECCAP

Research Network on Economic Experiments for the Common Agricultural Policy (REECAP)

  • Lead organisation: Joint Research Centre, French Institute for Agricultural Research and University of Angers
  • Description: REECAP’s objective is to contribute to the improvement of European agricultural policies, by providing robust results on their net impact, but also by helping to design policy interventions in the fields of income support, investment policies, risk management and agri-environment including climate change.

FACEPA

Farm Accountancy Cost Estimation and Policy Analysis of European Agriculture (FACEPA)

  • Lead organisation: Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
  • Description: The FACEPA project develops tools and methods to analyse production costs in European agriculture using FADN (Farm Accountancy Data Network) data. It will provide information, expertise and economic models on costs of production for various agricultural products.

AKIS

European Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) towards innovation-driven research in Smart Farming Technology

  • Lead organisation: Agricultural University of Athens
  • Description: The project aims at setting up a self-sustainable Thematic Network on Smart Farming Technology designed for the effective exchange between research, industry, extension and the farming community

FIGARO

Flexible and Precise Irrigation Platform to Improve Farm Scale Water Productivity (FIGARO)

  • Lead organisation: Netafim
  • Description: The objective of the FIGARO project is to significantly reduce the use of fresh water on the farm level through developing a cost-effective, precision irrigation management platform. The FIGARO platform collects real-time data captured by sensors installed in farmers’ fields through remote satellite meteorological data from weather forecast stations. Additionally, it utilises simulation models calibrated for various crops, soils and climate.
