The fifth meeting of the Rural Networks’ Steering Group (SG) discussed future activities of the networks to ensure their relevance for SG member organisations. It further identified key questions on networks’ self-assessment.
The workshop looked at Managing Authorities’ and National Rural Networks’ initiatives enhancing cooperation by improving coordination and complementarity between RDPs; harmonising processes rules and tools; and working with other Funds and stakeholder groups.
The workshop discussed the challenges currently faced by programme authorities in the implementation of Measure 16 and explored the wide range of cooperation opportunities the Measure offers.
The third TG meeting discussed practical examples addressing the Green Economy and ways to incorporate those into the RDPs.
The workshop explored common needs of Network Support Units (NSUs) in Member States with regional RDPs, as well as opportunities for joint work in the future.
The third meeting of the TG discussed regional, national and city policies on food and drink, and how these fit with regional RDPs, influencing food and drink supply chains.
The workshop explored practical steps to setting up investment platforms and concrete opportunities for linking the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) to the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI).
The second TG meeting developed examples of how to design a Green Economy project which will deliver environmental, economic and social benefits.
