The Evaluation Helpdesk is responsible for the preparation of comprehensive guidance documents to aid the Member States and evaluation stakeholders in evaluating EU rural development policy, in particular RDPs. These guidance documents serve to help in the general evaluation of rural development topics relate to specific components of the EU’s rural development monitoring and evaluation system. Guidance documents are typically written for a wide group of evaluation stakeholders and are non-binding documents.

The Rural Evaluation NEWS
The Rural Evaluation NEWS covers issues of interest to those involved in the monitoring and evaluation of RDPs and EU rural development policy is regularly produced. This newsletter is available on the website and distributed electronically via mailing lists. The newsletter provides information on evaluation activities, rural development policy developments and their implications for the monitoring and evaluation system, and informs readers about upcoming events and seminars. The newsletter is available in English, French and German.
Factsheets serve to both inform stakeholders of new knowledge and facilitate greater dialogue on important evaluation topics. Each factsheet covers a specific good practice case study, the results of a capacity building event, or an evaluation methodology or process.
