Trakai region Local Action Group was officially registered in 2007 June 8, although LAG activity started much earlier. LAG covers all related administrative and geographical territory of Trakai district (all municipalities except the Lentvaris city). LAG was formed with all LEADER methodological requirements and principles of territorial integrity „from bottom to top“ – equivalence , transparency , inclusion, clarity , partnership. In Lithuania are 51 LAGs. LAG mission - in partnership to encourage rural people and local residents to work together to develop their ability to actively participate in economic, social , environmental , cultural heritage , environmental protection and preparation and implementation of development plans for the territory of the LAG.
