In the territorial scope of LAG Prespa are included three administrative territorial units: Municipality of Chepelare, Banite and Laki. The territories of the three municipalities are located mostly in Prespa and Perelik sections of the Rhodopes. They have geographical and administrative connection and form the area of LAG Prespa. The territory covered by the LAG is mountainous, underdeveloped and typical rural area. The territory of LAG Prespa is characterized by extremely rich biodiversity, water resources, cultural, historical and architectural monuments and preserved cultural and folk traditions. The territory presents different types of tourism - ski (resort Pamporovo), religious, rural, cultural, medical, hunting and more.
