LAG Lyaskovets-Strazhitsa is located in the North Central region of Bulgaria and occupies part of the Danubian hilly plain within municipalities Liaskovets and Municipality. The climate is continental, with hot summers and cold winters. In the LAG there are five areas of conservation of natural habitats and wild fauna and flora: Old River Yantra, Zlatarishka river Lesoparka and Zhelezarci. Rich biodiversity and protected areas network is a prerequisite for the development of alternative and rural tourism.
