The strategy of the South-Balaton Local Community aims to determine a comprehensive development plan based on the natural, cultural and economic conditions of the region which offers possible solutions also for the special problems of each settlement. Despite the differences in the number of inhabitants and the level of economic development, the members of the Local Community having a rather varied composition often have to cope with the same problems. Although they have valuable tourism capacities, they often remain unutilized because of infrastructural deficiencies and lack of marketing and unique local image. The members of the Local Community see the future of Nagyberek in job creation, utilization of existing natural values and implementation of ecotourism development.
