The C.A.P.F. intends to use bees as a means of communication on environmental issues, by introducing beehives into public places. The C.A.P.F.'s involvement in the project ensures its educational, wide-ranging and accessible sides. This approach is integrated in the sustainable development section of the urban plan. The project encourages indeed observation and participation, allowing inhabitants to set-up joint projects, to organise research and to make this easily accessible. This process is linked to the territorial climate program and LEADER. Public concerned: All : children, adults, educational and activity centres, local councils, farmers, market gardeners . .
To set up several apiaries in both urban and rural areas To expose the extraordinary lifestyle of this social insect To make local players (amateur or professional gardeners) aware of biodiversity issues To support local social support groups to use apiculture as a means of integration To discover and promote the different products from the hive
