Ulbrokas Music and Art School
Our aim is to organise master classes and camp in collective musicianship (related instruments kokle-lute-kankle-kannel-kantele-zither), big band (brass band), accordionists ensemble, guitar ensemble, ensemble of string instruments, choir (vocal ensemble); jazz music (for beginners).
The Ulbrokas Music and Art School is an accredited state educational establishment where students acquire licensed vocational education programs: - Keyboard instruments play – the piano, the accordion; - String instruments play– the guitar, the kokle, the violin; - Wind instruments play –the flute, the clarinet, the saxophone, the French horn, the trumpet; - Percussion instruments play; - Vocal music - choir class. The collective playing has an important role in learning music. Students obtain professional skills by participating in competitions, festivals, joint ensembles and orchestras. 19 professional and educated teachers help students to discover the way to the world of music.
To promote traditions of collective music playing, to develop musical skills and abilities, to expand the repertoire, to acquire languages and learn about other traditions. Tadrget groups are: the music school students (10-18 years old) and teachers.
