Education and integration of children with special needs

Our objective is to popularise the Montessori method and to promote using it in the every day work with pre-school children.

In Latvia, the Montessori method becomes more and more popular but despite that often society does not know about the benefits of this method and what it gives when used in education of pre-school age children including children with special needs. Until the fellowship “Mācies ar prieku!” („Learn with joy!”) started its activities, since there was not any organisation in Stopiņi district promoting the Montessori and providing classes for children.

1. To inform society (including both teachers and parents) about advantages of using the Montessori pedagogy with pre-school age children (organizing seminars and lectures). 2. To promote exchange of experience between Montessori pedagogues. 3. To provide Montessori classes for pre-school age children
